How to Install Chargeback Dispute ?

Step 1 — Install from the Shopify App Store

1. Go to https://apps.shopify.com/chargeback-dispute
2. Search for "Chargeback Dispute"
3. Click Install on the app listing page
4. You will be taken to your Shopify admin to approve permissions
5. Click "Install app" to confirm

The app requires permission to read orders, customers, and disputes. This is necessary to collect evidence when a chargeback is filed.

Step 2 — Complete the Onboarding Wizard

After installation, the onboarding wizard launches automatically. It has 3 steps:

Step 2a — Connect Your Payment Gateways

You will see a list of supported payment gateways. Shopify Payments connects automatically. For Stripe, PayPal, or Razorpay, click the Connect button next to each one and follow the OAuth flow (takes about 2 minutes).

You can skip connecting additional gateways now and do it later from the Connections page.

Step 2b — Set Up Notifications

Enter your email address to receive dispute alerts. Choose your submission mode:

• Review manually (recommended) — you approve every AI letter before it is submitted


• Auto-submit after delay — the app submits automatically after your chosen window

We recommend starting with Manual Review so you can get familiar with the AI letters before enabling auto-submit.

Step 2c — Setup Complete

You will see a confirmation summary showing your payment gateway, review mode, and email alert status. Click "Go to Dashboard" to start using the app.
